Our vision is to advance human progress in low Earth orbit (LEO) with unconventional space technology. Areas of development include space debris remediation, alternative spacecraft propulsion, and new satellite technologies like our D3. We believe that the time is “now” for the commercialization of space.

Orbotic Systems was created to address the growing threat of space debris. After investigating solutions from both a business and technical perspective, Orbotic Systems was born. The goal of Orbotic Systems is to safely advance human progress in space with innovative business methods and new technology.

After two years of concerted effort, we are ready to release our first product to mitigate space debris. Unrivaled and unique, our D3 device allows SmallSat operators to inexpensively maneuver, orientate, and deorbit their spacecraft in LEO without any explosive propellant. The D3 does 80% of what rockets do at 10% of the price. This new technology was developed by a team from NASA and Orbotic Systems. We will be accepting our first orders early next year.

Meet Our Founder

Erik T. Long

Founder & President

Hi, my name is Erik T. Long and I am the Founder and President of Orbotic Systems. I started Orbotic Systems after learning about the great threat of space debris. I was so alarmed by this problem that I decided to do something about it. The end result is Orbotic Systems and a unique proposition for protecting spacecraft from debris. In the process, we have already developed our first product that will be ready for orders in early 2023. Our next step is to build a satellite constellation that will record space weather conditions for debris remediation purposes. We also plan to make this data available to research organizations.

I have over 20 years of experience in the technology industry including project management. Some of my accomplishments are:

            • Formed Orbotic Systems Inc.
            • Completed several state of the art (SOA) NASA technology license deals for Orbotic Systems in 2020.
            • Co-founded FinTech firm Quant Trade, LLC in 2007.
            • Successfully negotiated deals with Sunoco Energy and Bloomberg for Quant Trade.
            • Founded and sold technology company Tetrahex Inc. to a publicly listed company in 2006. Placed on the Board of Directors as Director of Strategic Technology.
            • Developed multivariate analysis software based on Chaos theory. Patent number: US 20070156479A1
            • Project manager for state of the art (SOA) decision support software using neural nets with wavelet filters.
