About

Mission Assurance for Space Operations

Orbotic Systems is focused on ensuring the success, safety, and longevity of spacecraft operations. As space becomes more complex and commercially driven, mission assurance, real-time awareness, and control are critical to sustaining performance in orbit.

Originally founded to address the growing challenge of space debris, the company has expanded its focus to support the full lifecycle of space missions. Today, Orbotic Systems develops integrated technologies that help operators manage risk, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain reliable operations in an increasingly dynamic environment.

This includes space weather intelligence through WIND, onboard threat assessment and decision support via ARGUS, propellant-free orbital maneuvering, and the DiskSat platform for integrated mission deployment.

Orbotic Systems Inc. is a privately held company based in Thousand Oaks, California. We welcome collaboration with organizations aligned with our mission. If you are interested in working with us, we encourage you to reach out.

Our Mission & Vision

Our vision is to enable reliable, scalable operations in orbit. As space becomes increasingly complex and commercially driven, we are focused on advancing the technologies that ensure missions succeed, adapt, and endure. By developing practical systems for mission assurance, control, and lifecycle management, Orbotic Systems is helping build the foundation for sustained growth in space.

Our mission is to ensure the success, safety, and longevity of spacecraft operations. We develop integrated systems that provide mission assurance, real-time awareness, and control across the full lifecycle of a mission. From space weather intelligence to onboard decision support and orbital control, our technologies are designed to help operators navigate risk, maintain performance, and complete their objectives with confidence.

ORBOTIC SYSTEMS

Innovation for a Safer Space Frontier

Orbotic Systems was founded with a clear vision: to ensure the long-term success, safety, and sustainability of operations in space. Today, the company is focused on mission assurance, command and control, and lifecycle management, addressing the fastest-growing challenges of satellite operations.

Led by co-founders Erik Long, CEO, and Jane Ielmini, COO, Orbotic Systems brings a practical approach to protecting and enabling space-based infrastructure. Their work has evolved from early efforts in debris mitigation into a broader mission: ensuring that spacecraft operate reliably, adapt to dynamic conditions, and complete their objectives in an increasingly complex orbital environment.

Through technologies such as WIND for real-time space weather intelligence, ARGUS for onboard threat assessment, and advanced orbital control and deorbit solutions, Orbotic Systems is building an integrated framework for mission success.

By combining practical engineering with innovative system design, Orbotic Systems is helping define the next generation of resilient, intelligent space operations.
